The clients wanted to renovate the kitchen in their 1930’s Craftsman bungalow. It was small, dated, and had very little storage or workspace. In order to create a larger and more functional kitchen, we incorporated the area of the adjacent butler’s pantry and removed the wall between the kitchen and breezeway to open up the area to the den. The new 42” wall cabinets take advantage of the existing high ceilings and provide valuable storage space. Open shelves house cookbooks and a microwave, and the glass-front cabinets at the butler’s pantry provide a wonderful place to display fine china and glassware. The individually painted Italian tiles featured in the backsplash are a wonderfully unique touch to this kitchen design.
