The design of this attic bathroom required that we fit it within the existing gable roof. With the compromised head height, we had to use the space creatively. The sinks were placed on either side of the window at the highest part of the gable to allow for comfortable head height. Oval medicine cabinets we used to maximize the small wall area. To add head height at the shower, we moved the wall out and installed a showerhead on the ceiling. We built a large linen cabinet into the knee wall area to maximize all of the available space. To match the style of the 1940's Tudor home, we used pedestal sinks and bead-board wainscoting with a shelf detail. The pattern of the natural stone tile adds beauty and interest to the room.
